Event Details:

Who: Amateur players. You don’t have to be a Denver Resident to play! All ages are welcome! No GHIN handicap required.
When: Saturday, Sunday & Monday, September 5 – September 7, 2026. *Registration opens Wednesday, July 29th @ 9 AM
*Limited space available. Late entries will NOT be accepted. Once the field is full, players have the choice to add their name to the wait list.
Tee Times: This is a double tee start with 2 waves.  Players choose their tee times for Saturday and Sunday upon registration.  Players are re-paired by gross 2 day score for Monday’s round.  **If players request tee time changes after registering there will be an additional $20.00 administrative fee.

• Wave 1: 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM
• Wave 2: 12:00 PM -1:50 PM

Tees: Players are required to play from the same tees throughout the event.  For approximate yardages view the scorecard online.

• Men = Bronze tees
• Women (all ages) = Black tees
• Senior Men (62+) = Gold tees

Format: 3-day, 54-hole four-ball tournament. This is a two-person best ball; the low score on each hole will be recorded for the team.
Flights: Teams are divided into 10 equal flights after round 2 based on 2-day gross team score.  Event winner awarded to 3-day low gross team score regardless of flight.
Prizes: Prizes will be given for the TOP GROSS finishers within all flights. This is a CGA sanctioned points event.  Event winner will go to the team with the lowest 3-day gross score regardless of flight.

• Contests: Closest to the pin on all par-3 holes, all 3 rounds.
• Skins will be offered all 3 days as a package. (Optional – join round 1 at the golf course)

Registration:
ENTRY FEE: $800/team ($400/player). Must register as a team online. Entries are NOT accepted in the pro shops.
OPENS: Wednesday, July 29th @ 9 AM
CLOSES: Wednesday, August 26, 2026 @ 4 PM.
*Entry fee includes player gift, team green fees, food/drink coupon & closest to the hole contests for all 3 days.  Carts can be reserved upon registration or purchased the day of the tournament in the pro shop. 

Cancellations | Refunds: Players MUST notify Wellshire Four Ball team via email at WellshireFourBall@denvergov.org, not the host course, to withdraw or request a refund. All refunds are subject to the following schedule:

• Players that withdraw before the entry close deadline will be refunded, less a $40.00 service charge.
• Players that withdraw after the entry close deadline or before 4pm the Wednesday before the event will be refunded 50% of the paid entry fee.
• Players that withdraw after the Wednesday cut-off there is no refund.
• After the tournament has started, there is no refund for any reason.
• If a team chooses to reserve a cart with registration, there are no cart refunds. If the team withdraws, then the withdrawal refund policy applies and carts are eligible for a refund.
• All refunds will be applied to the credit card used to pay the entry fee. Processing refunds may take up to two weeks.
