Course Improvements

Harvard Gulch Golf Course

Harvard Gulch Pond and Irrigation Improvements In Progress

Harvard Gulch is closed through April 30, 2021 for an improvement project on the pond and irrigation system.  This project will help with the following on the golf course:

• Conservation of potable water
• New seating and viewing areas
• Constant water circulation reducing mosquito breeding grounds, population, growth, development
• Restoration of native species and wildlife
• Additional character and a new challenge to the golf course
• Improved irrigation equipment for less water usage and more efficient energy consumption
• Improved course drainage

There is a lot going on with construction and tree protection on this small site which makes it impossible for us to keep the course open during construction.  We look forward to wrapping up the irrigation installation end of March, giving us a few weeks of warmer weather to recover the turf before we open again in April. 

The new irrigation pond at Harvard Gulch is taking shape.  When completed, the project will replace the current potable water source with City Ditch water as the main source of irrigation water for the park and golf course.  Notice the new pump station being installed on the western-most part of the photo.

In addition to the new irrigation pond, the Harvard Gulch Golf Course is also getting an updated irrigation system.  Notice the mainlines have been installed.

Kennedy Golf Course Safety Notice

Your safety is very important to us, therefore we have closed the bridge on Creek #9 at Kennedy Golf Course. 

The annual release of water from the Cherry Creek reservoir caused underscoring to the bridge making it unsafe. Unfortunately, repairing or replacing the bridge is not a quick fix.  We are closing it until we can repair or replace it. There will be an alternate route provided during this time.

Construction on the bridge is scheduled to take place December - February.  We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we make the repairs.

To promote Covid safety, healthy activity and prevent turf damage from increased cart traffic, we are offering walkers a 15% discount on green fees. Just mention this email to the sales associate when you check in to receive your discount beginning November 30th.

Winter Tee Time Updates

To minimize frost delays and maximize opportunities for players to get on the course, we are doing a double tee start for 18-hole rounds through the winter months.

• Tee times will be available starting on holes #1 & #10 from 10 am to 12 pm.
• 9-hole rounds will be available after 2 pm, weather and daylight provided.
• When making your tee time, select both "Course" and "Course 10th Tee" to view all available tee times (see example below).
• Kennedy 18-hole rounds will be played on Babe/West course due to frost concerns on the Creek 9. 
• Kennedy Creek and Par-3 courses will be available for 9-hole rounds starting at 10 am. 
• While this will minimize the chance of frost delays, a frost delay may still occur.  If there is a delay due to frost, we will send an email with details to all players with a reservation.
