Loyalty Reward Extended For Winter
Happy New Year! We know the winter weather has finally hit and many of you may not have been able to use your loyalty rewards.  As we did last year, we are extending the standard 60 day redemption time to May 22, 2017.  This gives you plenty of time to use those hard earned rewards!  If you earned a reward in November or December, make sure you save it because you must have your reward receipt when you check in at the golf course in order to redeem your reward.  Be sure to keep your receipt in a dark and dry location to prevent fading so that you can use it when the nice weather comes back around!  We appreciate your business and look forward to a great 2017 Golf Season!

Meet the new Superintendent at Evergreen Golf Course, Marc Anzlovar
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the new Golf Course Superintendent at Evergreen Golf Course.  I started my golf career as an 8-year-old playing golf with my grandpa and family in Southern Colorado.  As I grew to love the game as a junior player, I began to take the game seriously and went on to play competitively in high school and into college.  After graduating from college in 2001, I began my first golf course job at Elmwood Golf Course in Pueblo.  Mowing greens, cutting cups for tournaments, and taking care of the course flowers were my duties and that’s when I fell in love with golf course maintenance.
In 2002 I was transferred to Desert Hawk Golf Course (Johnny Bulla design) in Pueblo West and was named the Irrigation Tech.  This promotion allowed me to grow and learn more about golf course maintenance and become more familiar with the golf course industry.  I was fortunate to work for a superintendent that encouraged me to go back to school and attend Rutgers University Professional Turfgrass Management Program.  Upon completing my Turfgrass Degree, I was named the Superintendent at Desert Hawk in 2004.  I was the Superintendent there for 8 years and hosted numerous CGA, CHSAA, and Pro Am tournaments. We even hosted a Local U.S. Open qualifying round.
In the fall of 2011, I was named The Superintendent at Hollydot Golf Course (Frank Hummel design) in Colorado City.  Hollydot is a smaller, rural links course that sits at the foothills of The Greenhorn Mountain.  Being at a rural/lower budget course was an opportunity for me to be as creative as possible to put out a high quality product on a smaller budget.
In June of 2016 I was extremely fortunate and blessed to be named The Golf Course Superintendent at Evergreen Golf Course.  Being able to work for the City & County of Denver has been a huge goal of mine and has been a position I have been working towards for a very long time.  I am honored to be working with some of the region’s best Golf Course Superintendents and Golf Professionals.
Happy New Year to you all and see you out on the course.  May all your tee shots fly long and putts fall down.
