Denver Golf COVID-19 Update
Denver Golf has been working diligently to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic and align the operations of the golf course with the recommendations of the public health orders that have been issued. We are dedicated to protecting the health and safety of both the public and our staff. In order to remain open, all customers must obey the following rules designed for everyone’s protection.
Anyone not obeying the rules will be removed from the golf course without a refund!
Stay home if you are feeling sick or awaiting test results, and stay away until you are healthy!

 
Reserving a tee time:
  • Tee times can be made over the phone by calling 720.865.4653, or online at www.CityOfDenverGolf.com up to 14 days in advance for Loyalty members and 7 days in advance without a Loyalty membership.
  • All reservations are made as riding. Reservations can be changed to walking at time of check-in.
  • Only single rider carts will be allowed unless you live in the same household (addresses will be validated), or for persons with disabilities accompanied by a caretaker. Due to a limited number of carts, there may not be a cart available at your tee time.
  • Kennedy West 9 and Par 3 will be walking only.
  • Pull carts will be available for rent.
  • Golf carts and pull carts will be cleaned and disinfected after each use.
  • Reservations of less than four may be paired with other golfers to fill out the foursome. You will be able to maintain a physical distance of at least 6’ during your round. If you are not comfortable having a group join you, we encourage you to book and show up with four players.
  • Scorecards and pencils will NOT be available. We encourage you to keep score on the Denver Golf app. The app is available in
    Android or Apple for free at your app store, or you can print the scorecard prior to arriving at the course at  www.CityOfDenverGolf.com.
Checking In:
  • DO NOT arrive more than 15 minutes before your tee time.
  • Call the pro shop when you arrive at the course to pay for your fees over the phone with a credit or debit card.
  • To speed up the check-in process we will not be accepting cash, gift cards, credit book or rainchecks.
  • Also, to speed up the check in process we encourage one person to pay for the entire reservation and have the other players use an electronic form of payment to settle-up later.
After check-in:
  • Guests ARE REQUIRED to wear a face cover in/around the clubhouse and when interacting with staff. This can be a home-made face cover. Here is a link to the CDC page on how to make a home-made face cover. www.cdc.gov
  • The pro shop will be closed to the public.
  • A maximum of 4 people allowed in the clubhouse at any time. Do not congregate in or around the clubhouse.
  • Restrooms in the clubhouse will be open and disinfected regularly.
  • Weather permitting, the doors to the clubhouse and bathrooms will be propped open.
  • The practice green is open to guests 10 minutes prior to their teeing off. It is closed to anyone without a tee time. There will be no holes or flags. Find an area to putt and stay at least 6’ away from everyone at all times.
  • The driving range, chipping green and all other practice facilities will be closed to everyone.
  • There is no reason to show up more than 15 minutes prior to your tee time, so don’t.
On the course:
  • Each group will be called to the tee. To maintain physical distancing DO NOT head to the first tee until your group is called.
  • Physical distancing of at least 6’ from everyone in your group and our staff MUST be adhered to at all times.
  • Leave flagsticks in the cup at all times.
  • Holes are modified to allow the golf ball to go in the hole but not to the bottom of the hole. Remove your golf ball carefully to avoid 
    touching the flag stick. Do not remove the flag stick from the hole.
  • Scores may be posted using the USGA most likely score guidelines. 
  • DO NOT touch anyone else’s golf equipment including bag, clubs, balls, tees, pull cart, etc.
  • Bunker rakes, ball washers, water coolers, sand bottles and towel buckets have been removed.
  • Bring your own prefilled water bottles. There will be no coolers on the course or ice/bottle fill stations in the clubhouse.
  • On-course bathrooms will be closed. Make sure you use the clubhouse bathrooms before your round, at the turn and at the end of your round.
  • To avoid anyone else having to touch your trash we encourage you to hold on to all trash, especially food items, until the end of your round. At the end of your round deposit your trash into the properly marked trash and recycle bins around the clubhouse.
  • Bring your own hand sanitizer and/or disinfectant wipes, mask and any personal protective equipment you feel necessary.
  • To keep everyone as safe as possible no caddies or spectators are allowed.
Food and Beverage Service:
  • Limited seating is available in the restaurant. No groups over 8 people will be seated and no congregating at other tables.
  • Food is available to go.  You can call ahead to place your order from the parking lot, or on the 9th or 18th tee. 
  • Customers are REQUIRED to wear face coverings at all times in the restaurant unless they are eating or drinking.
  • Please maintain the 6’ physical distancing inside the restaurant including distancing from other tables and in line for to go orders.
  • Due to limited staffing, hours may vary. 
If you are not sick, symptom free and feel safe to golf, please come enjoy a round at one of the
Denver Golf Courses. The courses will only remain open if everyone obeys all the safety and physical distancing requirements. We are all in this together. Thank you in advance for respecting each other by adhering to all physical distancing protocols which enables us to remain open for you to enjoy.
Players must follow all physical distancing rules or they will be removed from the course without a refund!

Carts

  • Only single rider carts will be allowed unless you live in the same household.
  • If you live in the same household, your addresses will be vallidated before you can ride together.
  • For persons with disabilities, you will be allowed to ride if accompanied by a caretaker.
  • Due to a limited number of carts, there may not be a cart available at your tee time.
  • Kennedy West 9 and Par 3 will be walking only, NO CARTS.
  • Pull carts will be available for rent.
  • Golf carts and pull carts will be cleaned and disinfected after each use.

Tournaments/League/Club policies

Formats
  • No shotgun starts allowed. 
  • All events will be consecutive tee time starts. 
Permits
  • All permits will include the green fee amount only without cart.
  • Players who want to ride can pay for their cart individually as they arrive for their tee time. 
    **Tournaments: When providing your list of players to the golf course 10 days prior with payment, you will need to include who is walking and who is riding.
     Carts
  • Carts are still single rider only unless players live in the same household. 
  • Cart availability is not guaranteed. 
  •  Encourage your participants to walk and spread them out evenly though the tee times to help with cart availability. (We suggest 2 walkers and 2 riders per group.)
Warm Up
  • Players can arrive 45 minutes ahead of tee time to hit range balls (if available), and putt until their tee time is called.  If you are not warming up, arrive 15 minutes prior to your tee time and check in with starter before heading to the tee.
Sponsors
  • On course sponsors will not be allowed. (No booths or tables with sponsor representatives). 
  • Hole sponsor signs are allowed but must be delivered to the course 1 day prior to event allowing time for staff to put them out on the course.
Scoring
  • The course will not provide pencils or scorecards.  All scoring should be done virtually. Pre-print your scorecard or download our Denver Golf app at an Apple or Android store for virtual scorecards. Results should be computed off site.
  • Scores may be posted using the USGA most likely score guidelines, with the modified cups. .
Food & Beverage 
  • Limited seating is available in the restaurant.  No groups over 8 people will be seated. No congregating around other tables. 6’ physical distancing from other tables should be kept at all times.
  • All food and beverage must be purchased through the concessionaire.
  • Banquet style food will not be available.
  • Restaurant and beverage carts, where available, may have varied hours.
